We source our espresso beans from Winner of the Best Coffee in the North West, Roberts and Co. They source and roast the finest single origin and estate coffees. They hand roast the beans on traditional Whitmee coffee roasters and gauge the point that the coffee is ready by a combination of eye – for the shade and shape of the bean and ear – for the distinctive “crack” sound. As coffee specialists they are very aware of their responsibility to pay a fair price to coffee farmers in the many poor producing countries. Roberts and Co. seek out the best and pay top prices for quality coffees. We want to spread understanding and appreciation of specialty coffee. Ultimately, this is about taste.
